THE HUNGER GAMES

The Hunger Games was written by Suzanne Collins. The story was set in thousands of years into the future and the world is now separated into 12 districts. Every year there is a "celebration" called the Reaping. The president of the 12 districts comes to every district and pulls two names out of a bowl. From ages 12 to 19 every child has to put his or her name into the bowl. If their names gets drawn they have to participate in a contest called The Hunger Games. In the Hunger Games 24 kids from all over, fight to the death. Literally. The main character, Katniss, has been taking care of her family for a couple of years now. Ever since her dad died her mother has blanked out. So Katniss is now the head of the house taking care of chores, food, and
keeping her and her little sister presentable. Which is very hard for her because her district is dirt poor. It comes to her surprise when her little sister, Prim, has been chosen for the Hunger Games. What will she do now? Read it to find out. :)

In my opinion, this book was phenomenal. I read it in a day, that's how good it was. I didn't want it to end. It takes a lot for me to find a book that I really enjoy, and this definitely was a book I enjoyed. So I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good book.
